Digitain has reaffirmed its commitment to European growth with the expansion of its Malta operations, positioning the island as a strategic hub for its regional activities.
Following the launch of its Malta division in January 2025, led by long-time company executive Aida Vardanyan, the iGaming technology provider has now opened a new office to support its commercial, compliance, and partner services across Europe.
Ms Vardanyan emphasised Malta’s value as more than a physical base, describing it as a centre for building stronger relationships and delivering market-specific solutions.
The office also hosts executives and support staff from around the globe, enabling closer alignment with partners in regulated markets.
Digitain further bolstered its leadership team by appointing Gil Soffer as Chief Commercial Officer and, more recently, Mary Ann Calleja as Chief Production Officer.
Ms Calleja, whose experience spans William Hill, FanLeague, and LeoVegas, will lead product development and portfolio expansion efforts.
Mr Soffer said: “Malta gives us a unique advantage, as it allows us to operate at the heart of Europe’s iGaming ecosystem. We’re closer to our partners and better positioned to support market-specific demands. It’s a practical step that strengthens both our day-to-day operations and long-term ambitions across Europe and beyond.”
Malta’s reputation as a leading iGaming jurisdiction continues to attract major players like Digitain, who view proximity to regulators, operators, and innovators as a strategic advantage. The company’s presence on the island supports its broader goal of delivering agile, locally adapted solutions while accelerating international expansion.
