Greentube Malta has celebrated the GamingMalta COVID Vaccination Initiative, and its participation in the scheme, saying it “wholeheartedly supported this measure”.
Taking to social media, the company stated that it supported the measure by providing this opportunity to the team.
“This initiative was carried out in collaboration with local Health Authorities and enables us to transition back to our offices safely”, it said.
The scheme, first unveiled in May, aims to help iGaming companies encourage their employees to get vaccinated against the virus. It was launched in line with other initiatives by the country’s health authorities to help Malta reach herd immunity.
The first vaccination as part of the initiative was administered in early June, at InterContinental Malta.
The scheme is only one component of Malta’s blisteringly fast vaccination drive. As of Tuesday, 631,446 vaccine doses had been administered, of which 290,280 were final doses.
These figures have placed Malta’s vaccination rollout at amongst the fastest in the world, with the country featuring third in a new ranking compiled by The Guardian newspaper, comparing the number of vaccine doses per 100 people in each country to date.
Malta is beaten only by Gibraltar and the United Arab Emirates.
