BetStarters has appointed Mauro Miceli as its new Director of Operations, bringing with him extensive experience in process optimisation and team leadership within the iGaming industry.
Mr Miceli has built his career around operational management, with a focus on driving efficiency, streamlining workflows, and implementing data-driven strategies to enhance productivity and revenue growth. His expertise includes strategic planning, risk management, compliance, customer experience optimisation, business development, and process automation – all of which are vital in the fast-paced and highly regulated iGaming sector.
Mr Miceli has worked in a wide range of roles across various industries.
This has included a stint as project manager at the Planning and Priorities Coordination Division, which aims to ensure the efficient absorption and management of European assistance, both EU and bilateral.
Following that, he worked for a year as communications coordinator at Malta’s Ministry of Health before joining the Malta-EU Steering and Action Committee (MEUSAC), which is the Government entity responsible for collaborating and coordinating with local stakeholders on EU-related opportunities.
Mr Miceli then moved to the European Union Programmes Agency, where he remained between 2012 and 2018. After this, he joined Lidl Malta as purchasing manager.
Aside from these positions, he has also served as an elected representative on the local Swieqi council and is founder and Malta Football Association council member for Swieqi United Football Club.
Speaking about his professional ethos, Mr Miceli has previously highlighted his passion for operational excellence and his commitment to delivering results that enhance both business performance and customer engagement.
