SOFTSWISS, a Malta-based provider for iGaming technology solutions has appointed its first  Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CAIO), Denis Romanovskiy.

The creation of this new C-suite role “underscores the company’s long-term commitment to innovation and further reinforces Malta’s position as a centre for advanced iGaming technology and regulatory leadership,” the company said.

SOFTSWISS’ aims to treat artificial intelligence as core business infrastructure to reflect AI’s role in shaping enterprise technology, productivity, and competitive advantage across global markets.

From its Maltese offices, together with its development hubs in Poland and an office in Georgia, the company looks to drive high-value technology development that supports operators worldwide.

Mr Romanovskiy takes over as CAIO after serving as Deputy Chief Technology Officer at SOFTSWISS, where he played a role in scaling the company’s technology platforms and engineering capabilities over the past five and a half years.

“I am excited to take on this new challenge, as SOFTSWISS moves from experimentation to execution. We’ve seen first-hand the amazing things AI can do. Our focus now is on making AI a trusted, governed and economically efficient capability that delivers measurable productivity gains across every part of the business,” he said.

Prior to joining SOFTSWISS, he held development and leadership positions at EPAM Systems and Wargaming.Net, gaining extensive experience in enterprise software, large-scale technology platforms, and high-performance product environments.

In his new role, Mr Romanovskiy will define and execute SOFTSWISS’ AI strategy and lead the rollout of the company’s AI Platform – “a centralised, enterprise-grade infrastructure” designed to securely and efficiently scale AI automation across the organisation.

“The creation of the Chief AI Officer role is a clear testament to how critical artificial intelligence has become to the future of technology. AI is transforming how products are built, how businesses operate and how value is created,” Ivan Montik, Founder of SOFTSWISS, commented.

“By investing early in a unified AI platform and dedicated leadership, SOFTSWISS is positioning itself at the forefront of this shift, turning innovation into secure, scalable, real-world results.”
