International luxury dining and lifestyle brand Buddha-Bar has officially opened its first Malta venue in St Julian’s, following an investment of more than €6 million.
Buddha-Bar Malta is a joint project between the global brand and leading local partners Azzopardi Group and Salv Group.
The new establishment can seat up to 250 guests and combines Asian-inspired cuisine, creative mixology, striking interiors and vibrant lounge music to St Julian’s.
Malta becomes the latest location for Buddha-Bar, which was founded in Paris 30 years ago before expanding around the world, to locations such as Dubai, Monte-Carlo, Prague, Marrakech, and Mykonos.
”What you see here today is the result of more than a year of hard work, an investment of over €6 million, and above all, a great deal of passion," said Joseph Azzopardi, speaking on behalf of Azzopardi Group and Salv Group.
"Our vision was to bring something truly special to Malta - a destination where exceptional food, music, atmosphere, and service come together. This is a proud moment for all of us, and it marks the beginning of an exciting journey as we bring this iconic global brand to the island.”
Prime Minister Robert Abela and Opposition Leader Alex Borg both attended the launch.
