Entain has been named the Operator of the Year for 2021 at what EGR calls ‘the Oscars of the egaming sector’.
The EGR Global Operator Awards recognises B2C egaming operators that set the industry standard, in categories ranging from customer service to safer gambling. Attending the awards at Grosvenor House in London – a return to the event’s traditional in-person format – Entain was presented with the award for 2021’s Operator of the Year.
“I could not be prouder of what we have achieved this year,” shares Entain’s CEO Jette Nygaard-Andersen. “This is a fantastic accolade, which honours the commitment, dedication and efforts of our 24,000+ Entainers around the world. Despite uncertainties raised by the global pandemic, they have all continued to go above and beyond in everything they do to build a successful business. Their hard work continues to inspire us all.”
On being presented with the award, Entain was commended for its market-leading growth over a sustained period of 22 quarters. “We’re delighted to have our hard work in the sector recognised at these prestigious awards,” says Karl Gonzi, Entain’s Managing Director in Malta, who manages local operations for Entain plc. “Entain has thrived amidst the upheaval of the last couple of years and this award is guaranteed to give our brilliant team the drive to reach many more milestones in 2022.”
