Salaries across the iGaming sector rose by an average of 4.09 per cent in 2025, according to preliminary findings from the latest iGB Pentasia Salary Survey. It’s the highest rate of growth recorded in the past three years.

Despite wider economic uncertainty and cautious hiring sentiment in some regions, many roles in tech, analytics and product saw continued upward pressure on pay. Meanwhile, a growing divergence emerged between sectors seeing high demand – like AI and compliance – and those facing stagnation, such as customer services.

The full Salary Survey 2025 report will be released this week, offering detailed insights across job functions, regions and experience levels.

“Compensation is a strategic tool; not just a cost,” said Alastair Cleland, managing director of Pentasia. “This year’s findings show how companies are adapting their talent strategies. Investing in critical capabilities, managing risk around AI and meeting candidates’ growing expectations around flexibility and wellbeing.”

AI adoption a key trend for 2025

AI adoption has emerged as a key trend, with strong demand for candidates experienced in automation and data-driven development. However, this has introduced fresh challenges: many companies are now enforcing stricter governance on how AI is used during tasks, interviews and even day-to-day roles.

“Hiring managers want to know what candidates can really do, not what ChatGPT can do for them,” added Mr Cleland. “We’re seeing a need for better assessment processes and clearer policies around AI usage.”

The survey also reveals a rising focus on employee benefits and work-life balance. Rather than salary alone, candidates are placing increasing importance on flexible and hybrid working, benefits like family health cover, and also improved onboarding.

“We’ve reached a point where a bonus alone won’t seal the deal,” said Mr Cleland. “People want their work to fit their life – and employers who listen are winning the race for talent.”

With Pentasia approaching its 25th year, the company aims to support iGaming employers with the data, reach and expertise to grow high-performing teams in new and emerging markets.
