GamingMalta will lead Malta’s first dedicated national booth at SBC Summit 2026 in Lisbon, bringing together key public and private stakeholders to promote Malta as a mature hub for iGaming, digital business and innovation.
The organisation, set up by the Government of Malta and the Malta Gaming Authority, will be joined by the MGA, Malta Enterprise, Bank of Valletta and Identità as part of the Make It In Malta campaign.
Together, the delegation aims to present a coordinated ecosystem that supports companies beyond licensing, including investment, banking, compliance, relocation, recruitment and access to specialist talent.
GamingMalta CEO Ivan Filletti said Malta’s strength lies in the fact that gaming does not operate in isolation, but alongside technology, infrastructure, banking, investment support and professional services.
According to the MGA’s latest Annual Report, Malta’s gaming industry supported around 19,150 direct and indirect jobs in 2025, while employment among MGA-licensed companies rose by 4.8 per cent to 15,039 positions.
The B2B segment also continued to expand, with licences rising from 68 in 2018 to 171 in 2025. New licence applications increased by around 36 per cent between 2024 and 2025, while the sector generated more than €1.42 billion in Gross Value Added.
Mr Filletti said the figures show that Malta’s gaming ecosystem continues to mature and diversify, positioning the island as a place where companies can build sustainable growth within an internationally connected community.
The Maltese delegation will be present at Hall 2, Booth 251 at the FIL in Lisbon from 29th September to 1st October.
“Our objective is not simply to attract companies to Malta, but to create an environment where businesses, talent and innovation can grow together for the long term,” Mr Filletti said.
