Online casino operator Casumo is set to withdraw from Ontario’s regulated iGaming market, bringing an end to more than three years of operations in one of North America’s most competitive jurisdictions.
All gameplay on the platform will cease on 30th April, with player accounts scheduled to be fully closed by 14th May. Any remaining unwithdrawn balances after this date will be forfeited.
The Malta-based operator located in Swieqi, originally founded in Sweden, has been licensed by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario since 2022, having gone live in November of the province’s first year under its regulated framework. During its time in the market, Casumo offered a portfolio of more than 3,300 slot titles.
Ontario currently hosts 48 licensed operators running a total of 82 authorised gaming sites. While the majority of entrants have maintained their presence since regulation was introduced, a small number have opted to withdraw, suggesting that scale and sustained investment are becoming critical to long-term viability.
Casumo has not provided further comment on its departure.
