FDJ UNITED has announced changes to its Executive Committee, appointing Pascal Chaffard as Chief Online Betting and Gaming Officer while also expanding his remit to include Group Strategy and Operational Transformation, as the company continues to reshape its leadership structure following recent strategic developments.
Mr Chaffard, who currently serves as Chief Financial Officer, Strategy and Performance leader, will now take over responsibility for the Group’s Online Betting and Gaming business unit.
The move follows the departure of Nils Andén, who had led the Online Betting and Gaming division and played a key role in overseeing the integration of Kindred into the Group since October 2024. According to the company, Mr Andén is leaving to pursue new projects.
FDJ UNITED also confirmed that the appointment of a new Chief Financial Officer will be announced once the ongoing recruitment process is completed.
In a further executive change, Celia Verot – who joined FDJ UNITED in 2024 as Chief Regulatory Officer – has been appointed General Secretary, General Counsel and Chief Regulatory Officer for the group.
The leadership reshuffle carries relevance for Malta’s iGaming ecosystem, given FDJ UNITED’s operational links to the jurisdiction through entities connected to its online betting and trading activities.
Among these is Spynsol (Sporting Group), a company governed by UK law that was acquired by the Group in May 2019. The business, headquartered in London, operates across multiple markets including the UK, South Africa, Canada, Sweden and Malta. Spynsol is responsible for providing services to sports betting operators, as well as managing spread betting and proprietary trading activities.
