With three decades of experience in Information Technology (IT), a master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, and a remarkable tenure as head of IT at FinXP, Mr Scerri is poised to spearhead the company’s next phase of technological innovation.

Jens Podewski, CEO of FinXP, expressed enthusiasm for Mr Scerri’s leadership, “Antoine’s promotion to CTO is a testament to the profound impact he has had on our operations. His advanced technical knowledge and unwavering dedication are exactly what FinXP needs as we continue to grow the company. We are excited to see where Antoine’s leadership will take our technology infrastructure and services”.

Antoine Scerri steps into his new role with a commitment to excellence. “Assuming the CTO position at FinXP represents a significant milestone in my career. I am eager to use my experience to enhance our solutions and deliver unparalleled service to our clients,” said Scerri. “We are constantly working on new products as well as on custom solutions for our larger clients, so it is a very exciting time to be part of this thriving company”.

Carmelo Romano, the former CTO, has transitioned to a consultative role within the company, continuing to offer his expertise at least until his retirement date in July 2024. Romano has been instrumental in developing FinXP’s robust IT infrastructure and in establishing a scalable international IT department, laying a solid foundation for the company’s future endeavors.

FinXP remains committed to continue leading as a fintech pioneer. The recently launched FinXP PLUS is testament to the company’s forward-looking strategy. FinXP PLUS is an internally developed platform for cross-border payments that leverages Mastercard’s vast network to enable fast, cost-efficient, and reliable pay-outs.
