Play’n GO, a leading casino entertainment provider based in Malta, is participating in a new initiative taking place as part of the G7 Leader Summit this week, which will see the company play a leading role in shaping global gambling policy.
The inaugural Global Forum on Responsible Gaming and Gambling Policy is part of a three-part series, which will see Play’n GO also take part in the G20 Summit and the United Nations General Assembly later this year.
Play’n GO’s Head of Government Affairs, Shawn Fluharty, will lead a session on the opening day of the G7 Summit in Calgary on June 13th and will engage directly with global leaders, regulators, neuroscientists, and public health experts on the critical intersection of gambling, mental wellness, and policy development.
The company is the only online supplier to be invited to participate at the forum and its presence underscores its unwavering commitment to responsible play and its pioneering role in shaping a sustainable future for the global gaming industry.
The result of the three meetings will be recommendations that will be formally presented through policy channels, helping to define the next generation of international policy on public health, youth protection, innovation, and societal prosperity.
Play’n GO has been a vocal advocate for increased regulation in the online gaming space for many years, recently announcing it will never supply its content portfolio to sweepstakes casinos.
Shawn Fluharty, Head of Government Affairs at Play’n GO, said: “Positioning responsible gaming at the world’s premier policy forums is vital to ensuring regulation keeps pace with rapid innovation and effectively protects consumers.
“As the only online supplier engaging directly at the G7 Forum on Responsible Gaming and Gambling Policy, and soon at the G20 Summit and United Nations General Assembly, Play’n GO’s presence will showcase the critical value of early collaboration with lawmakers and regulators in forging cohesive, global standards.”
Celebrating its 20th anniversary year in 2025, Play’n GO is a global leader in supplying entertainment to the casino industry and is the creator of some of the world’s most played online casino games including Rich Wilde and the Book of Dead, Reactoonz and Moon Princess.
Play’n GO were one of the first to recognise the potential of gaming on the GO by designing casino games for mobile phones in 2005 – the pre-smartphone era. Today, the company delivers an unmatched portfolio of 400 premium titles to regulated casino operators in more than 30 jurisdictions.
