Michael Ahearne, board member of Gaming Innovation Group Inc. (GiG) on Wednesday announced his resignation as director of the company with effect from today.

Mr Ahearne joined the board on 1st April 2022 following SkyCity Entertainment Group becoming shareholder in GiG in connection with the acquisition of Sportnco Gaming SAS. He has closely followed the development of GiG during this period and is pleased with the company’s operations and its position within the iGaming industry. As SkyCity’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Ahearne will now focus on his commitments to SkyCity in New Zealand and Australia. 
 
SkyCity is represented in GiG’s nomination committee and will participate to propose a board composition to the annual meeting of shareholders in May that has an adequate breadth of competence, experience and background and will contribute to a continued positive development for GiG.
 
The Board of Directors thanked Michael for his contribution to the Company.
 
The remaining board members, Petter Nylander (chairman), Nicolas Adlercreutz, Kathryn Moore Baker, Mikael Riese Harstad, Kjetil Garstad and Hessi Mocca will continue to act as the company’s Board of Directors.
