Splash Tech, a provider of free-to-play (FTP) solutions, has obtained a B2B Critical Gaming Supply Licence from the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA).
The licence enables the integration of real-money jackpots into its existing offering and opens the door for further expansion across regulated markets.
With the new certification in hand, Splash Tech is now able to launch its proprietary jackpot engine technology, which is product– and vertical–agnostic. The technology allows for jackpot prizes to be layered on top of existing casino games, with users contributing to prize funds in addition to their original wager. The solution can also be applied to sports betting, providing operators with enhanced flexibility and new ways to boost player engagement.
The MGA licence represents a critical step in Splash Tech’s transition from a purely FTP-focused provider to a supplier capable of supporting real-money gaming solutions. According to the company, its jackpot technology is designed to increase engagement by offering configurable prize structures that can be added to any game within an operator’s platform.
“This development gives operators the tools to elevate their player engagement strategies without needing to overhaul their existing game portfolio,” the company noted in a statement.
Splash Tech has already partnered with a number of high-profile players in the iGaming industry, including Evoke, Kambi, GiG, Altenar, and Bragg Gaming Group. The addition of a real-money offering is expected to strengthen these partnerships and position the company for further commercial growth.
Adam Wilson, CEO at Splash Tech, commented: “Securing an MGA licence represents a major landmark within the growth trajectory of our company. We have already seen the enormous impact real-money jackpots have in the short time-frame that we have been live and can’t wait to roll this incredible feature out across our network.
“We have worked very hard to land the certification and can’t wait to see the reaction as we start to roll out our jackpots product, from partners and players alike,” he added.
