The Mill Adventure (TMA), a Malta-based iGaming platform provider for regulated markets, has appointed Bjørnar Heggernes as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
Mr Heggernes, who has worked within the iGaming industry for over a decade, first joined TMA as Head of Gaming before being promoted to Commercial Director. His career has included a range of senior roles across product development and marketing with leading iGaming brands.
In his new post as CCO, the company says that Mr Heggernes will oversee TMA’s global commercial strategy, strengthen relations with operator partners, and spearhead growth across its approved territories.
These include Portugal, Malta, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Estonia, the Netherlands, and Ontario (Canada). Finland is expected to be added in 2026, following the company’s licensing efforts in the country.
“I am genuinely excited to step into the Chief Commercial Officer role at The Mill Adventure. Having worked across both operator and platform environments, I have seen firsthand what drives sustainable growth in regulated markets. My focus now is to translate that experience into clear commercial outcomes as we continue to expand TMA’s presence globally,” Mr Heggernes said.
He continued: “What sets this company apart is its people. The depth of talent and technical expertise across the team creates real momentum. Together, we are building platform solutions that combine innovation with the highest standards of compliance, security and reliability, creating long-term value for our partners.”
This senior-level announcement follows TMA’s recent homologation of its platform in Portugal, a milestone in the local licensing process with a new operator partner. It also comes shortly after the appointment of Gerardo Prieto as Chief Information Security Officer.
Co-founded in Malta, The Mill Adventure is known for its focus on fully compliant solutions in regulated markets and a partnership-first approach.
Its product portfolio includes SmartLobbies, an AI-powered automated casino lobby management system, and Betpool, a social tool enabling shared iGaming experiences across casino, live casino, and sportsbook.
Her appointment comes as the platform expands its regulated crypto services across the bloc
