Altenar, a leading sports betting and iGaming software provider, has successfully achieved full recertification under the updated ISO 27001:2022 standard, the internationally recognised certification validates Altenar’s Information Security Management System (ISMS).

This milestone further complements Altenar’s portfolio of gaming licences and regulatory certifications, ensuring full alignment with the technical standards of the jurisdictions in which it operates.

The 2022 revision of the ISO 27001 standard introduces new and enhanced controls covering areas such as threat intelligence, data masking, data leakage prevention, and web filtering, designed to help organisations better anticipate and mitigate modern cyber risks.

Founded in 2011, Altenar’s recertification now includes new operational regions in South America and South Africa, along with the addition of its recently established entity, Agreegain Limited.

The Director of Information Security at Altenar, Denise Vella, said: “We are incredibly proud to have achieved and maintained this recertification, now for four years running. Security is built into everything we do, thanks to the ongoing efforts of our dedicated and continuously growing security team.”

She continued: “Our users are also highly aware of security, and we’ve fostered a strong security culture across the company. At Altenar, protecting our customer’s data is part of our daily work and this certification reinforces our commitment to security, compliance, and trust.”
