Altenar, a leading sportsbook and iGaming software provider, is set to enter the newly regulated market of Ontario, Canada.

The award-winning supplier’s North America debut sees its sportsbook granted a Gaming Related Supplier licence by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).

Offering competitive margins up to 0 per cent on selected major events, Altenar is set to harness the best in real-time official data for its Canada-facing sportsbook, spanning MLB, NBA, NHL, CFL, NFL and esports.

Available via desktop and native mobile app, Altenar’s wide-ranging offering includes its latest bet builder and early payout on multiple sports, as well as a robust offering of player props and enhanced parlays and teasers.

The provider’s launch follows an impressive 12 months, with a surge in 150 per cent for total bets and player count over 2021, with its key specialisations across Esports, data and virtuals proving to be a major boost for its operator partners.

Commenting on Altenar’s entrance into Ontario, Antonis Karakousis, director of operations, said: “We are delighted to be bringing our best-in-class services to the newly regulated market of Ontario. We look forward to bringing a bespoke, rewarding betting experience to the customer base in this exciting new market, specifically tailored to cater to their needs – and the result of extensive research and development.

“We had to meet a list of standards and a variety of requirements, as well as auditing our sportsbook with an independent test lab, but the potential of this province means it was more than worth the challenge. We continue to make worldwide progress as a company and going live in Ontario is proof of that.”

With further plans to scale ahead of the World Cup, Altenar’s successes have been recognised with multiple recent award wins, including the MiGEAs, the EGR Nordics and the Baltic and Scandinavian Gaming Awards.

Licensed across a total of 14 major global markets, including the UKGC and MGA, Altenar has established itself as the sportsbook provider of choice for multiple leading operators.
