iGaming compliance consultancy BetComply has strengthened its team with three new appointments across regulatory compliance, anti-money laundering (AML), responsible gaming and technical compliance.

Tiago Scoda Botelho has joined the company as Regulatory & Licensing Compliance Officer, while Renald Micallef has been appointed AML & RG Consultant and Tina Singh has joined as Technical Compliance Consultant.

Mr Scoda Botelho brings a legal background to the role, having spent several years working as a corporate lawyer before moving into the iGaming compliance sector.

He previously held senior compliance positions at bet365 and 3 Oaks Gaming. At BetComply, he will support clients with regulatory compliance, licensing applications and ongoing operational requirements across multiple markets.

Mr Micallef, meanwhile, brings more than 16 years of industry experience to his new role as AML & RG Consultant.

Throughout his career, he has held positions covering AML, risk and responsible gaming at a number of operators, including SlotsMillion and Nederlandse Loterij.

Tina Singh / LinkedIn

Ms Singh joins as Technical Compliance Consultant with 17 years of experience across international and regulated environments, spanning both land-based gaming and iGaming.

Founded in 2023, BetComply has grown into a team of more than 20 compliance specialists and supports clients across more than 40 regulated markets. Its services span licence applications and regulatory set-up through to market entry, multi-jurisdiction compliance management, auditing and outsourced compliance functions.

The consultancy was co-founded by Chief Compliance Officer Mike de Graaff and Chief Marketing Officer Martin Hodges, with its team drawing experience from operators, suppliers and other areas of the regulated gaming sector.

Renald Micallef / LinkedIn

While BetComply does not operate an office in Malta – its website lists its contact address in London – members of its team work from Malta, giving the consultancy a connection to the jurisdiction and its sizeable iGaming industry. The company has also maintained a presence at local industry events, including NEXT Summit: Valletta in May 2026.

Earlier this year, BetComply was named Corporate Services Supplier of the Year at the 2026 EGR Europe Awards in Malta.

Commenting on the latest appointments, Operations Director Loes Wetzer said the three professionals would add further depth to the consultancy’s offering.

“Tiago, Renald and Tina bring significant experience and we’re delighted to have them join BetComply. Their appointments add further depth to our team and ensure we can continue providing clients with informed, commercially practical compliance support as regulatory demands evolve,” she said.
