FIAU

The Financial Intelligence Analysis Unit of Malta is organising an AML/CFT Conference for the Gaming Sector. The event is targeted at gaming operators, including land-based ones, who are considered as subject persons.

During this conference, speakers from the main authorities responsible to prevent the gaming sector from being abused for money laundering and funding of terrorism purposes will be providing information on several areas of interest to the sector including:

  • The main areas of risks to which the gaming sector is exposed to.
  • The importance of market entry requirements and key functions.
  • Insights into the main AML/CFT weaknesses present in the gaming sector.
  • Developments at European level.
  • Forthcoming initiatives at the national level of interest to the gaming sector.
