With around two months to go, SBC is ramping up preparations for its flagship annual event: SBC Summit Barcelona.

This year’s edition takes place between 19-21st September at the Fira Barcelona Montjuïc, Barcelona.

Bringing together industry leaders from every function within the iGaming sector, the 2023 iteration will see the exhibition’s floorspace split into the following areas: Sports Betting Zone, Casino & iGaming Zone, Payments & Compliance Zone, Affiliate, Marketing & Media Zone, Emerging Tech, Blockchain & Metaverse Zone and Esports & Gaming Zone, the newest addition to the zone concept.

Indeed, in 2023, the SBC Summit Barcelona will be bigger than ever, with double the exhibition floor space, covering a massive 38,000 m2 accommodating over 300 exhibitors.

The busy conference schedule will boast an unrivalled speaker line-up of 450 industry professionals delivering 80 hours of content across the eight conference rooms, covering sports betting, casino, iGaming, payments, emerging technologies, innovation, digital marketing and safer gambling.

The 2022 event featured keynotes from top names from within and out of our industry, such as DAZN Group’s CEO Shay Segev, poker legend Molly Bloom, metaverse guru Matthew Ball, Sportradar’s CEO Carsten Koerl, and Trustly’s CEO Johan Tjarnberg.

In 2023, keynote speakers include Flutter International CEO Daniel Taylor and Pioneering Tech Authority & Venture Capitalist Matthew Ball (Bestselling author of The Metaverse). Other confirmed speakers include Betsson Group CEO Operations Jesper Svensson, Danske Spil CEO Karsten Fogh Holanng, LeoVegas CEO and Co-Founder Gustaf Hagman, Ceasers Entertainment Board Member Jan Jones Blackhurst, SBObet Chief Executive Bill Mummery, Pinnacle Sports Advisor Paris Smith and OPAP CEO Online James Curwen.

In a recent interview featured on SBC with the annual event’s lead organiser, SBC Director of Conferences and Relationships Jonathan Whelan, the 2023 edition was touted as going “a step further” in its position as a gathering place for industry readers.

Jonathan explains that this year, inclusivity of industry leaders hailing from every vertical across the iGaming spectrum is “crucial” due to current economic conditions and inflationary pressures, “along with the real application and impact of disruptive technologies”.

“As we witness the convergence of various factors and the rapid evolution of our field, being a part of the industry at this moment is truly exciting, and SBC Summit Barcelona sits perfectly at the heart of this action,” he adds.
