Malta-headquartered game developer Backseat Gaming has appointed Zachary Mifsud as its new Chief Legal Officer, bringing legal and compliance experience from across the iGaming sector.
Prior to joining Backseat Gaming, Dr Mifsud served as Head of Legal and Compliance at Yolo B2B.
Reflecting on his departure from Yolo B2B, Dr Mifsud described his time with the company as a “privilege to be part of the leadership team.”
“I’m proud of what we achieved together, and grateful to my fellow leaders and colleagues for their trust, partnership and friendship throughout,” he wrote.
Dr Mifsud graduated from the University of Malta in 2019 with a Masters in Advocacy. He has since held roles at several iGaming companies, including Betsson Group, Bragg and AvatarUX Studios.
Founded in 2023, Backseat Gaming is a Malta-based company specialising in the development of slot games.
