Zeljka Perkovic

Huddle, the next-generation iGaming technology developer, has hired former Stars Group compliance manager Zeljka Perkovic as its new VP Compliance, the latest senior employee to join the rapidly growing startup from a large corporate.

Ms Perkovic was at the Stars Group for more than a decade and joins the ambitious provider alongside numerous other new hires that have joined Huddle from suppliers and brands including Kambi, Entain, William Hill and others.

Huddle represents one of the most forward-thinking and progressive companies in the rapidly changing betting and gaming industry, building advanced, proprietary data-driven technology solutions designed to transform the user experience and unlock the true potential of iGaming operators.

Launched in late 2020 by three former SimpleBet executives Francesco Borgosano, Leo Gaspar and Mario Zdelican, raising $3 million in venture capital seed funding, the business employs a microservices model – developing and deploying all the components of a fully automated betting platform – including trading, odds, feeds and risk technology – in a sequenced way.

Huddle’s software is powered by AI and machine learning tools to analyse behavioural data, helping operators increase efficiencies across multiple jurisdictions, manage and optimise risk and shape the sportsbook stars of the future.

Francesco Borgosano, CEO and Co-founder, Huddle, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Zeljka to Huddle. She brings great experience from her many years in the sector and will be a hugely valuable member of our growing team.

“We are attracting some serious talent at Huddle, with people drawn to the unique product capabilities and culture we are building, and I’m really looking forward to working with Zeljka and our many new senior hires.”

On her part, Ms Perkovic said: “Huddle is building something really special, and I’m thrilled to join. The three founders and the wider team are experts in their fields and are developing very exciting products that will answer many pain points being felt across the betting and gaming industry through their overreliance on legacy systems.

“We clicked from the moment we had our first call and the passion and drive Francesco, Leo and Mario have is infectious. They are building a culture of empowerment, enabling everyone to push the boundaries towards a common purpose, and it’s a fantastic place to be.”
