Malta-headquartered gaming supplier Yggdrasil has strengthened its presence in South Africa through new partnerships with online operators Lucky Fish and Bet Set Win.
The agreements will see players at both operators gain access to Yggdrasil’s latest game releases, as well as a selection of titles from studios participating in the company’s YGG Masters programme.
The latest integrations increase Yggdrasil’s reach in South Africa to more than 30 operators, further expanding the supplier’s presence in one of Africa’s fastest-growing regulated iGaming markets. Industry projections indicate that South Africa’s online gaming sector could reach €3.9 billion by 2030.
According to Yggdrasil, its content continues to perform strongly among South African players. During the first quarter of 2026, the supplier’s most popular games in the market were Gator Gold Deluxe GigaBlox™, Gold Storm Ultra and 777 Volt.
Lucky Fish, which launched in South Africa in 2025, offers more than 2,000 casino games and operates under a licence issued by the Mpumalanga Economic Regulator. Bet Set Win, meanwhile, provides sports betting, live casino and online gaming products and is licensed by the Eastern Cape Gambling Board.
Commenting on the partnerships, Giovanni Fodera, Regional Manager for South Africa at Yggdrasil, said the market remains a key focus for the supplier’s expansion plans.
“Strengthening our position in the South African market is a key pillar of Yggdrasil’s growth strategy for 2026. We offer operators far more than premium gaming content. Through a single, seamless API integration, our partners gain access to Yggdrasil’s flagship titles, a diverse portfolio from our network of studio partners, and our suite of Boost promotional tools designed to enhance player engagement and retention,” he said.
