Javier Samel

Software development specialist Sportingtech has appointed market expert Javier Samel to bolster its expansion in Latin America.

The information systems engineer, who joins the company as Head of Business Development Latam, has more than 12 years’ experience in the region’s online gaming and sports betting industries.

After founding and serving as COO of Spignol.com, he served as online operations manager at Grupo Boldt and has since consulted on sports betting, gaming platforms and marketing for businesses working in Argentina, Colombia and Peru.

Sportingtech CEO Ivo Doroteia said Samel is a respected and senior professional and was the perfect fit to help grow the company’s recently re-purposed and re-branded omni-channel Quantum platform, which is currently being certified in a string of markets across the continent.

He added: “Javier is a great addition to the Sportingtech family, and we are looking forward to combining his expertise with our team’s experience and products. I’m sure his inputs will enrich the collaborative debates during collective decision-making processes for Latam.

“He is in a privileged position to utilise his extensive market knowledge, to work with existing clients in the region, and develop our Quantum platform in the region, as well as providing a springboard into new business relationships.”

Javier Samel said: “I’m very excited about the opportunities opening up for to a company like Sportingtech with a dynamic platform like Quantum and am looking forward working as the bridge between them and local operators.”

Quantum harnesses modular sports betting and casino software that allows partners to add all the specific services they require in the markets in which they operate.

It boasts more than 65 sports with over 1,000 betting markets, as well as a casino experience offering 9,000 games from hundreds of the industry’s leading studios, as well as a host of essential third-party integrations, a comprehensive content management system and a proprietary bonus engine to reward both sports and casino customers.

A light version of Quantum Platform, called Quick Quantum, comes with all the main features and integrations of the parent platform but can be delivered in just six to eight weeks.
